Harumi watched as Kuai Liang took the bowl of miso soup onto his lap. He glared at her, before turning that hard stare towards Hanzo. He sniffed it, like he was trying to work out if it was poisoned. The fact he seemed to believe that was a possibility broke her heart.

“This changes nothing,” Kuai hissed, his teeth bared, but to Harumi’s relief he began to eat the soup.

“We know,” Hanzo softly replied. “We don’t expect it to.”

Kuai gave a disgusted look, before eating in silence.

Harumi just hoped they’d gain his trust eventually.
