My Mortal Kombat Headcanons

Here is a collection of my headcanons for Mortal Kombat ^^ ATM they're in no particular order, but I might sort them in the future lol

Line Break

Bullet PointKuai Liang is very short, and is in fact the shortest male kombatant (although there are major discrepancies between my work on just how short he is, and it's sometimes dependant on universe.) His height is a mix of genetics and stunted growth from malnutrition as a child.

Bullet PointIn order to reach high places Kuai Liang creates blocks of ice.

Bullet PointKuai Liang was a bit of a crybaby when he was a kid. This resulted in Bi-Han being fiercely protective of him. Bi-Han once hospitalised several other boys because they made Kuai cry. This overprotective nature never really went away even in adulthood.

Bullet PointBi-Han has a split tongue. He got it done during a mission and by the time he got back it was already starting to heal and the Grandmaster reluctantly let it slide since there wasn't much they could do about it. (Bi-Han basically being the Lin Kuei's golden child also helped.)

Bullet PointIn the same vein, Bi-Han once nearly decided to get Scleral Tattoos but Kuai Managed to talk him out of it.

Bullet PointCryomancers by nature tend to be very territorial over food. Out of our current Cryomancers, Frost is the worst with this, and won't hesitate stabbing you with an icicle if you so much as take a fry from her meal. Bi-Han is just as bad, but he will at the very least share food with Kuai. Kuai is the least territorial, and is mostly willing to share food and let people have parts of it. He does however, get slightly aggressive if someone outright tries to take food away from him (Although this could also partially be a trauma response as well.)

Bullet PointI have various headcanon's involving musical instruments, including Tomas being able to play the hurdy-gurdy, Jacqui can play Banjo, Cassie plays guitar, in his older age Kuai took up the guzheng.

Bullet PointSpeaking of Cassie, she's a massive anime fan. She watched every episode of Naruto and cried when L died in Death Note. Jin is also an anime fan, but he's a lot more reluctant to admit it.

Bullet PointJacqui likes country music. she grew up on a farm so... On her first proper date with Takeda she played "Before He Cheats" in the car. He got the message.

Bullet PointCassie and Jacqui both had a scene phase when they were teenagers.

Bullet PointOld Lin Kuei food usually just consisted of unseasoned meat or fish and plain rice. More recently, Hanzo has been encouraging Kuai to try new foods and flavours.

Bullet PointThrough the above, Kuai has learnt one absolute fact: Sugar is GOOD! He particularly likes chocolate (all kinds, he hasn't found a type he dislikes yet) and Song Gao, but he is partial to anything on the sweet side.

Bullet PointHanzo often uses chocolate as a motivator and bride to get Kuai to do things. It tends to be stupid little things, like getting out of bed on days off or doing a task Kuai doesn't particularly want to do. Kuai is pretty pissed that it actually works.

Bullet PointDespite this, Hanzo is actually kind of concerned that Kuai's diet will dissolve into just sugar one day. He's pulled aside the Lin Kuei's kitchen staff and asked them to make sure Kuai eats proper food. Kuai insists he's not that irresponsible, while also aknowledging if he could survive on just sugar he probably would.

Bullet PointBi-Han will never approve of anyone Kuai dates, especially not anyone I ship him with, and the best you can hope for it that he tolerates you. Of the people I ship Kuai with, the person he'd have the least problem with is Tomas, although he would absolutely be side eyeing the entire situation from afar.
